Kindle’s Airy Luxe Kitchen Transformation

For Kindle's kitchen, the vision was to create a space that felt airy, elegant, dramatic, and deeply personal. The original kitchen was transformed into a brighter, more open-concept layout by removing the wall between the kitchen and living room, allowing the space to feel larger, more connected, and better suited for everyday living and entertaining.
To create a clean, elevated foundation, we designed sleek white shaker cabinetry that extends to the ceiling, finished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White. Glass-front upper cabinets added a refined display element, while the former double-oven area was reimagined as a chic built-in coffee nook, bringing both charm and functionality into the design.
The previous L-shaped counter was replaced with a large waterfall-edge island designed to seat four comfortably. Brushed gold accents were carried throughout the space, including a gold apron-front sink, matching faucet, luxury appliances, and gold-and-white barstools that added warmth and sophistication against the crisp white cabinetry.
Lighting played a major role in bringing Kindle’s artistic personality into the kitchen. A dramatic 40-inch hammered dome pendant was placed over the breakfast nook, while brushed gold and black lantern pendants brought contrast and elegance above the island. A standard office door was also converted into a hidden door that blends seamlessly with the surrounding cabinetry, creating a more custom and intentional look.
Every detail, from the mosaic glass backsplash to the thoughtful incorporation of Kindle’s own artwork, was selected to reflect her vision for a luxurious, vibrant, and highly personal kitchen. The final design brought together beauty, function, and personality while giving the homeowner a clear picture of what her future kitchen could become.
